Course Overview

These mini courses are tailored for enthusiasts seeking to master the art and skill of using shotguns, particularly focusing on pump-action models, though semi-automatic shotguns are also welcome. Each session is dedicated to a specific aspect of shotgun handling and usage, ensuring a thorough understanding and proficiency in various scenarios.

Course Topics

Reloading a Shotgun: Learn the most efficient techniques for reloading, tailored to different shotgun types and situations.

Moving and Shooting: Develop skills to accurately shoot while in motion, balancing mobility and precision.

Low Light Operations: Train in low visibility conditions, focusing on adapting to limited light environments.

One-Handed Shooting: Weak Hand: Master the technique of shooting with your non-dominant hand, enhancing your versatility and readiness.

One-Handed Shooting: Strong Hand: Refine your ability to effectively use your dominant hand for shooting, focusing on precision and control.

Getting Up with a Shotgun: Learn how to safely and efficiently rise from a seated or prone position while handling a shotgun.

Shooting from the Ground: Practice shooting accurately from a grounded position, a vital skill in various tactical situations.

Engaging Multiple Threats: Develop strategies for identifying and engaging multiple targets effectively and swiftly.

Cover and Concealment: Understand the principles of using cover and concealment for strategic advantage.

Home Defense: Moving in Structures: Train in tactics for moving and defending within a building, focusing on home defense scenarios.

Unconventional Shooting Positions: Explore and practice shooting from non-standard positions, preparing for unexpected situations.

Course Structure

Each session focuses on one topic, combining theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on training. Scenarios are designed to simulate real-life situations, providing a realistic and immersive learning experience.

Course Requirements

• Shotgun: Pump Action or Semi-Automatic (Must have stock or brace, no shockwaves or pistol grip only) shotguns
• (50) Slugs
• (50) 00 Buck
• (100) Bird Shoot
• 50rds of Pistol
• Sling 
• Mounted Flashlight 
• Ear and Eye Protection (Loaners Available)
• One Open Mind willing to learn new tactics, techniques, and principles (TTP)
• Pen / Pencil & Notepad
• Valid state issued ID
• Must be 18 or older 
• One Good Quality Strong Side Outside the Waistband (OWB) Holster or strong side concealed carry holster (IWB) ~ Holster must allow 1 hand re-holstering, no cross-draw or shoulder rigs
• Cover Garment to Conceal Pistol and Holster
• Defensive Pistol: Semi-Automatic or Revolver (Limited Rentals Available)
• 50rds of Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) Ammunition
• 3 Double Stacked Magazine (6 for Single Stacked Magazines) or 6 Speed Loaders 
• Spare Magazine Carrier (Some Loaners Available)
• Strong Belt (Loaners Available)
